Welcome to Vake & Vera! Thank you for your interest in our Affiliate program.
The following terms and conditions apply to individuals who are accessing or using the Program both as a merchant (“we” or “merchant”) and an affiliate (“you” or “affiliate”) who refers customers to use product or service from the merchant.
By participating in the Program, Affiliates agree to use the Program in the manner specified in, and are bound by, these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety you are not authorized to register as an Affiliate or participate in the Program in any manner.
1. Approval or Rejection of the Registration
1.1. We reserve the right to approve or reject ANY Affiliate Program Registration at our sole and absolute discretion. You will have no legal recourse against us for the rejection of your Affiliate Program Registration.
2. Affiliate Links and Coupons
2.1. Affiliate links are automatically generated, but you can also generate an affiliate link for a specific product or collection.
2.2. If a customer clicks on one affiliate's referral link and then later clicks on a different affiliate's link, it is the last link clicked which is deemed to have referred the customer.
2.3. An affiliate might or might not be assigned a coupon code with details and usage clarified in the Dashboard. If customers both click on the affiliate link and use coupon code, you will not receive a double commission.
2.4. If you are not assigned a coupon or discount code by Vake & Vera, then you are not allowed to promote Vake & Vera using a coupon or discount code.
2.4.1. You must not create your own coupon or discount code. Doing this undermines the program and is detrimental to other affiliates. Breach of this term will result in exclusion from the program and forfeiture of any commissions accrued.
2.5. You must not offer cash back rewards or similar to customers to entice them to use your affiliate link. Doing this undermines the program and is detrimental to other affiliates. Breach of this term will result in exclusion from the program and forfeiture of any commissions accrued.
2.6. The affiliate may advertise merchant website on online channels such as Facebook, Instagram,... or offline classified channel ads, magazines, and newspapers. However affiliate must not purport to be the merchant.
2.7. All affiliates must clearly disclose that an affiliate link is being used. This can be done by writing 'affiliate link', '# aff link', or similar. Breach of this term may result in exclusion from the program.
3. Commissions and payment
3.1. If you refer a customer to purchase on our website, you will get a commission amount which is calculated based on Commission rate in your dashboard.
3.2. Commission amount is dependent on order value and does not include extra fees and costs (tax, shipping cost,...).
3.3. To receive an Affiliate commission you need to specify your payment details in Settings.
3.4. The payment schedule will be notified on the Affiliate Guide page.
3.5. Payments will only be sent for transactions that have been completed.
3.6. Use of the Affiliate Program is subject to a fair use policy which gives the merchant the right to review every referral order.
3.7. Status of commissions will be displayed in the Commission tab, any paid-out commission will be listed on the Payment tab.
3.8. Transactions that result in chargebacks or refunds will not be paid out.
4. Marketing tools
4.1. We may share promotion media such as banners, logos, or specific collection promotions to you through the Marketing tool tab. You can download the media or get the HTML embed code to share on affiliate channels.
4.2. You must ask permission to use images or content from www.vakeandvera.com which were not shared with you in the Marketing tool tab.
4.3. If an image or content on www.vakeandvera.com is credited to a third party you will need written permission from that third party to use their image or content with your own affiliate link.
4.4. Using images or content supplied by a third party without written permission from that third party to promote your own affiliate link will result in exclusion from the program if Vake & Vera receive a complaint from the third party. (The reason for this is that the original creator may want to profit from their work by using their own affiliate code with the images they put time and effort into creating).
5. Cookies
5.1. We use a cookie to track people who have clicked on your affiliate link, so they need to be using cookies for us to track them using an affiliate link.
5.2. If a person doesn't allow cookies or clears their cookies then we can't track them so can't pay earnings on that person's activity using affiliate links.
5.3. Cookies length is specified on the Affiliate registration form.
5.4. The tracking day will start from the time a customer clicks on the affiliate’s link or uses the coupon.
5.5. Within the cookie time, every order made by this customer at the merchant website will automatically result in commissions to the affiliate (There’s no need for the customer to click on the affiliate link multiple times within the cookie time).
5.6. Coupons or discount codes do not require cookies to be tracked. These are individualised and allow customers to be automatically assigned to you when they enter the code on the website.
6. Removal from Referral Program
6.1. If an affiliate wishes to be removed from the affiliate program, they can do so by contacting: business@vakeandvera.com
